This will be my first recipe post =)
I will try to incorporate the lean protein, not always raw or vegan yet healthy option as well as the raw-vegan option for most of the recipes I post. This will be possible because since I have taken over as my family's "mom" especially in the kitchen after my moms surgeries, I must provide them with some source of meat, poultry or fish because well...this is what they want. I on the other hand, have taken on a new way of living. The raw-vegan lifestyle. And I you will learn how it's working out for me along with my F.M. Bootcamp classes! =)
let's get this started...
HUMMUmakeYOUsweat HUMMUS RECIPE:
2 cups (give or take) raw (soaked and drained) Garbanzo Beans/Chickpeas
2.5 tablespoons of Olive Oil
3 tablespoons of Lemon juice
1 large Garlic Clove cut in thirds
1 Handful of sliced/crushed almonds
A PINCH of Cayenne Pepper and/or Tablespoon of (tapatio, cholula, valentino any REAL hot sauce) THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL - i like it reallly spicy
Ground Pepper (add to your liking)
Organic Sea Salt (add to your liking..but NOT TOO MUCH!)
Throw it all in a food processor or anything you may have that can get the job done
Once its smooth with some consistency...refrigerate for at least 10 min and EATTT IT!
This is a great substitute for all those FATTY and GREASY dressings and dips.
